About Shinnosuke Kaishin
Sohonke Shinnosuke Kaishin is a food maker from Kuwana, a post town on the Tokaido road. The site says the company began shortly before the Edo period and has simmered the local clams for over 400 years. Ingredients from the sea and mountains of Ise are cooked with secret tamari soy sauce, all by hand. Products include shigure-ni with hand peeled clams, grilled seaweed, walnut and whitebait, and chirimen sansho.
